For a few months now, I’ve been following Blue’s story on social media, hoping that his quest for a forever home would eventually come to an end, that he’d find what his heart desires most: a human to call his very own.

But… Blue is still searching, still waiting, still hoping for his special someone.

With his dreamy looks, his movie-dog smile, and his attention-grabbing, colorful coat, it’s hard to believe Blue doesn’t have adopters lining up simply for his show-stopping appearance.

I imagine handsome Blue, with his floppy ears and soulful eyes, could effortlessly turn heads and wow humans and canines alike while strutting through his neighborhood.

What really makes Blue so pawsome in my book, though, is his charming, fun personality with a touch of adventurous spirit. He seems to tick all the right boxes: Loyal companion? ✔ Cuddle aficionado? ✔ Jogging buddy? ✔ Toy collector? ✔ The list could go on and on. And on and on…

The playful Catahoula mix appears to strike the right balance between active lifestyle and lazy Sunday. While he always seems ready to infuse the day with a bit of action and athletic attitude – Blue has been said to enjoy jogging with his foster mom and a game (or two or three) of fetch in the yard – he also likes to simply keep his human company, snuggle, take a rejuvenating power nap, or take a stroll around the farmers market.

As showcased in various posts, Blue is also a bit of a squirrel enthusiast, having waited for, observed, and chased after squirrels in his free time. Shortly after having proclaimed his interest in squirrels, he obtained a toy one, which seems to make him just as happy. Check out the proud look on Blue’s face as he’s posing with it:

I’ve never met Blue, but if he’s half as stunning in person as he is on social media, then I’m missing out.

While multi-faceted Blue has many covetable qualities, such as being playful, social, and cuddly, he also has a few wishes: His rescue tells me that Blue would like a cat-free forever home with a 6-foot fence and that prospective adopters should be aware of Blue having a high prey drive. It’s all about finding the right home for Blue, after all.
