Blue: Good Boy, Treat Connoisseur, Ear Acrobat
Master of facial expressions. Bandana aficionado. Morning-walk enthusiast.
Five-year-old Blue is a well-rounded canine who combines youthful energy with the wisdom that comes with age and offers the best of both worlds: As a mature adult, puppy antics are behind him, but he still has the agility to bring fun into weekends.

Blue is currently residing at his local animal shelter in a single-bed kennel with an outdoor run and amenities such as in-kennel breakfast, housekeeping service, and accompanied strolls. He enjoys spending time in the play yard where he can see other shelter residents, exchange a few barks, and take in the beauty of Texas spring. However, he had originally intended to stay for only a few days, which turned into weeks, and he is now really ready to check out of the shelter and move into his forever home.
During his time as a shelter guest, Blue has met four-leggers from all walks of life: He has met small and large dogs, shy ones and outgoing ones. He has heard serenading, concert-worthy howls. He has encountered aspiring professional cuddlers, great thinkers, and up-and-coming athletes. He has seen cats and heard their songs. And maybe one day, when he is sitting on the couch with his favorite two-leggers, he will bark about his impressions and experiences and tell them the story about how he became the dog he is now.
Blue, with his showstopping ears, is hoping to soon meet his forever family, so he can make their house a home, offer loyal companionship, and shower them with unconditional love.
This cultured canine exudes charm, considers himself an attentive listener, and has the looks to match his anything-but-ordinary personality. He sports a shiny black coat, which—as fashion fans will know—goes great with pretty much any outfit his human friend may choose to wear, scoring style points every time.
If Blue sparks your interest, pay him a visit at the Weatherford Parker County Animal Shelter in Texas and find out if he’s the right dog for you.

Such an awesome write up and wonderful pictures of this awesome boy. I’m surprised someone hasn’t adopted him yet! 🙂
