The Shelter Dogs’ Vacation-Themed Photo Session

Something I truly love about the photo barn at my local animal shelter is that it’s so much more than just a spot to take a few pictures of available dogs. It’s a paradise for content creation: a place where the shelter residents can show off their unique personalities, reinvent themselves, and go on virtual adventures with the help of eye-catching costumes and accessories, photo props, and beautiful backdrops or even green screens.

Equipped with a new, seashell-adorned backdrop, I went to the shelter last week to surprise the canines with a summer-themed photo session or, put more creatively, a virtual beach vacation. Fortunately, many four-leggers were up for a bit of photo-barn fun and showed the camera their charismatic smiles, mesmerizing eyes, and adorable ear acrobatics. The models were, of course, rewarded with plenty of snuggles and treats.

Check out a few of the pictures from the shelter dogs’ vacation-themed photo session and let me know which one’s your favorite in the comments below.

Interested in making any of these dogs a part of your family? While some have already been adopted, many are still looking for their forever homes. Pay them a visit at the Weatherford Parker County Animal Shelter.
