Cool Canines: Tonto, Wilbur, and Lian

Wondering what the dogs at the Weatherford shelter are up to these days? You’re in luck! I met with cool canines Lian, Tonto, and Wilbur the other day to get an insight into their fun personalities. Read on to find out about the highlights from our Saturday afternoon photo session.

Tonto

Energetic. Playful. Curious. Tonto is cool (with a whole lot of silliness). And he knows it. Due to his full schedule, he didn’t have time to sit down with me for a drawn-out chat and photo session. So I followed him around the yard while he was working on checking off the various tasks on his to-do list:

  • standing by the fence observing his fellow shelter residents
  • getting his daily steps in by jogging around the play yard
  • playing fetch

You know… just another day at the office for Tonto. Glad that he was able to make time for me despite his busy schedule and that he gave me a glimpse of his fun personality.

Wilbur

Adorably bouncy Wilbur, who is still working on his coolness level, was quick to reveal his love for treats and attention – and along with this reveal came a dazzling smile and a reminiscent-of-a-hippo facial expression and sitting pose. Wilbur’s happy attitude exudes the kind of optimism that feels like it could brighten gloomy and rainy winter days.

Lian

Sporty Lian gives off a casual-cool air… the kind that I (and even Tonto) could only dream of. The down-to-earth canine gave me a quick tour of his play yard before picking up a yellow tennis ball and humble-bragging about his fetch skills. In addition, Lian showed off his impressive sassy-confident look that simply lets his eyes do the talking.

Which of these three cool canines is your favorite? Let me know in the comments below.
