Curious what the shelter crew is up to these days? I was, too, so I paid them a visit yesterday. Some of the four-leggers enjoyed the sunny day taking long walks or playing in the yard while others took to the photo barn to dress to impress. And impressed you will be once you see some of the cuties currently residing at the Weatherford Parker County Animal Shelter in Texas.

If you haven’t met Whiskey, you’re missing out. This somewhat shy, sweet cuddle bug is playful but not overly energetic, calm but affectionate, which kind of makes him the best of both worlds, doesn’t it?! He’d love to walk his favorite human from January into February and beyond.

Jones has adventure in his soul that’s reminiscent of another Jones: the famous character of ultimate coolness that is Indiana Jones. Embracing his inner explorer, he seeks to reach every corner of his yard, uncover hidden treats, and discover long-forgotten toys. Along the way of his treasure hunt, you may catch him striking a pose and flaunting his stunning, multi-colored coat.

Meet the master of facial expressions, eyebrow acrobatics, and forehead wrinkles: Bandit. This gentle semi-giant thinks he is a lapdog, has a thing for treats, and likes to give kisses. He’d love to cuddle his pawfect two-legger through the cold winter days and the seasons to follow.

Calling all Harry Potter fans! Have you met the Weatherford shelter’s very own Dumbledore? There’s just something magical about him. Dumbledore has two different-colored eyes, sports a high-contrast coat, and poses like a pro, with the patience of, dare I say, an older soul. This sweet good boy craves attention (and treats) and would probably enjoy a movie-marathon Sunday with his forever family. Anyone got a particular film series in mind? 🙂

Jet is just a puppy but wanted to look a little more mature, so he chose to wear a stylish little tie for his photo session. Business casual has never looked so good. Don’t let his attire fool you though, he is a puppy at heart and full of playful fun and lovely cuddles.
