Love Is in the Air: The Shelter Dogs Are Preparing for Valentine’s Day
Love is in the air at the animal shelter. With Valentine’s Day only a few weeks away, many of the four-leggers embraced red and pink shades during our latest photo session to get in the spirit. They showed off their sweet looks, let me see their charming personalities, and barked about all things love.
Greddy is an independent, confident lady who is comfortable in her own (colorful and shiny) coat and knows exactly what she wants: a forever home in time for Valentine’s Day, of course. She’s looking for that perfect someone to share a fun-filled day and (She knows she’s coming on a little strong here, but who has time to waste?!) the rest of her life with.

Walter has been at the shelter for a while now, but he’s not letting that bring him down. A firm believer in love, he knows his pawfect family is out there somewhere. He hopes they’ll soon show up at his kennel and take him to his forever, love-filled home where he’ll enjoy the companionship he’s been searching for.

Cindy is a happy, fun-loving girl who loves to show off her pretty smile. She’s got style and opted for a casual-cool pink bandana to embrace her inner fashionista during our photo session, striking poses like a true pro. She’d like to meet that special person who will shower her with love and share the couch with her on a lazy Sunday.

Sam knows he’s got the looks, but he wants to meet someone who will take the time to truly get to know him and fall in love with his personality. He’s a well-mannered gentledog who enjoys long walks in the countryside and cozy evenings on the sofa next to his favorite person.

Free-spirited, dog-next-door Nora wanted to stress her low-maintenance personality and opted for the dog-equivalent of the messy bun along with a casually styled bandana. She doesn’t expect a fancy dinner for Valentine’s Day. Instead, she is looking for a down-to-earth family who will just enjoy her company and give her that pawfect home she’s been dreaming of.

Troy was a little unsure during his photo shoot and chose to set himself apart with a blue bow tie. He’s a true charmer and hopes that his perfect someone will take the time to get to know him and see him for the love bug he is.

Sweet Angel thought bright red was just her color, while Speckles decided to embrace various shades of pink. They’re both counting down the days till Valentine’s Day and hope their not-so-secret admirers will surprise them with a box of treats and take them to their forever homes sooner rather than later.

Speckles:

Jasper and Spanky are two silly, adorable bachelors waiting for their forever families. While Jasper emphasizes his cuteness, Spanky likes to highlight his funny side (note the bow tie on his head…). Knowing shake and just being an overall sweetheart, cuddle bug Jasper hopes to charm his way into his adopter’s heart. Fun-loving and easy-going Spanky, however, wants to conquer his perfect person’s heart by making them smile and infusing their everyday with a touch of silliness and a whole lot of happiness.

Spanky:

Creed, Hank, Donald, and Woody all thought this Valentine’s Day, it’s all about red bandanas. They wore them with confidence and the casual coolness of someone who’s used to the spotlight and hope their glamour shots will attract their perfect adopters’ attention.
